Beeswax is a mixture of pollen, plant wax and a secretion from the gland of the bee and it is used in natural makeup as well as skincare products. It is packed with vitamin A and antioxidants which help protect cells and promote their regeneration.
Beeswax is used in many skin care products because it is nourishing and provides a protection against irritants while still allowing the skin to breathe. It is a much better option than petroleum based ingredients used in many store bought products which do not allow the skin to breathe.
Beeswax also offers anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and antiviral benefits making it helpful in supporting skin irritation.

Candles
Creating a little ambiance without dripping or toxic smoke is easy with beeswax. You can also add your own essential oils to the wax and cut out the toxic fragrances used in many store bought ones
Baking
Did you know that you can rub beeswax over your pans and use it in place of butter or oil?
Reusable Wraps
Make your own beeswax wraps and get rid of plastic wrap forever! This is so simple!
Place a towel over your ironing board (if you aren't sure what this is, ask your friends, one of them may still be using one!) Place your piece of material onto a piece of baking paper. Sprinkle wax lightly over material then place another piece of baking paper over material and wax so it covers fully. Use an iron to melt the beeswax so that it covers the material fully. If there are spots where there is no beeswax, simply add a few more pieces and run the iron over it again.
Sticking Drawers
Apply a thin coat of beeswax to the wooden rails and they’ll be opening and closing like new
Sealing Envelopes
Create a seal with beeswax and use a nice right stamp to leave your mark.
Wood Polish
A one to one mixture of melted beeswax and olive oil makes a great polish for wooden furniture or cutting boards. Add an essential oil like wild orange or arborvitae for an added fresh aroma.
